The Greater Jackson Chamber Partnership would like to thank the following sponsors:

THE JACKSON CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

Our great city is in the midst of a renaissance and together we can grow the momentum. This year the Jackson Chamber will continue to build upon the progress we made in 2009, and Board of Directors is committed to the goals and objectives of this chamber by fully supporting the mission, getting involved with committees, and by voicing our opinion on issues that affect our city. The Jackson Chamber will continue to focus on education, business retention, legislative issues, marketing and membership, public safety, our signature event and other issues that affect the city. In addition, we will be directing more attention to the revitalization of West Jackson neighborhoods and the Highway 80 Corridor. These areas are critical in the city’s resurgence. This year’s Jackson Chamber Board is sponsoring a community outreach initiative called the Friday Forum at Koinonia Coffee House. Every Friday at 9 a.m. we invite the entire community to engage in meaningful dialog on a variety of issues. Look to this Web site for reports on our other activities. If you have thoughts about how we can improve the business community in your Capital City in 2010, please let us hear from you. I am pleased to have the opportunity to serve as chair of the Jackson Chamber in 2010.
Sincerely,

Jonathan Lee
2010 Chairman,
Jackson Chamber of Commerce

Several years ago ,the Greater Jackson Chamber Partnership Board of Directors took a public position stating that Jackson must be healthy and vibrant to ensure sustainable positive growth.  To better address the issues and opportunities in Jackson, the Greater Jackson Chamber Partnership Board of Directors created the Jackson Chamber of Commerce within the parent organization’s umbrella.  Established in November 2006, the Jackson Chamber of Commerce has its own board of directors to govern the effort. The mission of the Jackson Chamber is to improve quality of life in the city of Jackson, promote diversity, and promote a business climate favorable to economic and community development for the benefit of all its residents.
